Come and join us on our trip to take part in a cobbled classic sportive on Saturday 31 March and watch the pros race on Sunday 1 April
There are 4 mileage options – 150, 125, 80 and 50 miles.
The 80 and 50 are the best value for cobbles and enjoyment. These both start and finish Oudenarde.
The 150 and 120 start in Antwerp and involve a lot of flat tarmac and a transfer to the start.
Please see the Sportive web page for 2017: http://www.sport.be/werideflanders/2017/en/
Return by ferry or Tunnel as you prefer. Book you own sportive place(s), ferry, hotel (central Ghent will work best for the first part), and return channel crossing. (A few are I understand going to cycle from Ilkley and last time some cycled from Zeebrugge.) The aim is to enable a group to ride, eat, drink and watch together.
Or stay for the additional madness of the Roubaix Sportive on 7 April and watch the Paris Roubaix Pro race on 8 April.
Distances – 80 miles start and finish in Roubaix, 107 miles starts in Busigny – buses can be booked from Roubaix to the start but that means a very early start and is not recommended. Or stay in Cambrai 16 miles from the start in Busigny.
